Did you know that most movie critics are overweight?
I was speechless when I found out the caloric info on concession food at the theater. If you haven't heard or seen this yet it is your duty to yourself (health wise) and your children to read this!

If you think you are safer getting popcorn because you think it's better for you, think again! Wonder why you feel slightly full yet still hungry after eating at the theater? It’s because their food contains huge amounts of empty calories. About five hot dogs popcorn/nacho and soda combo is over 3,000 calories! That’s more than a day’s worth of calories. Believe this, three Bic Macs (at around 575 calories each) for what you get in a large popcorn, or two Big Macs for what you get in Nachos. If this isn't bad enough, movie theater popcorn has around six times the saturated fat as a Big Mac. And Reese’s Pieces?
Below is the calorie information (estimated, and it varies by theater) for the most popular concession items, also included are the pizzas and chicken fingers that many theaters serve, if only because I’d have never thought to purchase those over popcorn if I were trying to limit my caloric intake. Remember you are better off with the two pizza's instead of the large popcorn.
