Tarragon (Herba Dracunculi ), Pilgrim's Plant! Did You Know?

Did you know the ancient Greeks used to chew tarragon for toothaches? Yes, it has a great anesthetic power. Roman naturalist Pliny wrote that during the Middle Ages pilgrims would place a sprig in their shoes to combat fatigue on long trips. Under the Doctrine of Signatures, the medieval belief that the herb's appearance revealed it's medicinal value. It can be used as a diuretic (I use it as tea), and appetite stimulant.

God Bless And Have A Great Monday!
